Brief description of the study: The broad objective of the evaluation was to assess the
achievements of the assistance provided by the Department of AYUSH under the
scheme. This would enable the Department to eliminate deficiencies and sickness
if any, of the institute, promote development of the institute in terms of
performance and better facility. The study reviewed the status of the national
institute including the type and nature of institute, size, spread, scope and
magnitude. This has helped in identifying the constraints faced by the
institute with regard to infrastructure, functioning, manpower, training,
skills, development, technology, finance, etc.
